Join us for a friendly and welcoming Chair Yoga class designed for everyone – whether you're new to yoga, working with limited mobility, recovering from injury, or just looking for a gentler way to stretch and strengthen.
Using the support of a chair, we explore mindful movement, breath awareness, and relaxation in a way that’s safe, accessible, and enjoyable. There will be options to stand and improve our balance and coordination and sometimes gentle movement/dance to music (something we have found to be really calming and fun!)
You’ll improve flexibility, balance, and posture while calming the mind and boosting your mood. A chair offers a stable base for less mobile individuals and is highly adaptable to the physical needs of a variety of disabilities and injuries, such as people with special needs who have varying degrees of physical disability. Chair yoga can also benefit people with other conditions, like high blood pressure; anxiety; chronic fatigue syndrome; arthritis; multiple sclerosis; depression; and chronic pain. Also suitable for those with mobility issues including wheelchair users.
Expect a light-hearted, supportive atmosphere where you can go at your own pace. Come as you are – all ages, all bodies, all levels welcome 😊
