People come to yoga for many different reasons. Some are looking to ease physical discomfort such as tight hips, lower back pain, stiffness, or a lack of flexibility and core strength. Others are seeking relief from stress, anxiety, poor sleep, or simply want to feel more relaxed and at ease. Whatever brings you to the mat, your reason is valid.
This workshop focuses on releasing tight hips and relieving lower back tension. As with all yoga practices, however, the benefits are holistic. As the body begins to soften and open, the mind often follows, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected.
We will begin with a guided relaxation to help you arrive fully in the space, allowing both body and mind to settle.
From there, we'll move into a gentle yoga flow designed to ease stiffness, improve mobility, and reconnect you with the natural rhythm of your breath. The main focus of the practice will be on opening the hips and gently releasing the lower back, always with an emphasis on listening to your body and working at your own pace.
The session will conclude with a meditation and deep relaxation, giving you time to absorb the benefits of the practice and leave feeling refreshed and restored.
Suitable for all levels, this workshop emphasises ease, presence, and enjoyment rather than intensity—although there is always the opportunity to explore your own edge if you choose.
After the practice, you're invited to stay for a brew and biscuits and enjoy some informal chat!
For those who would like to explore a little deeper, there will be an optional shamanic journey following the tea break. This additional session is free of charge for workshop participants.
If you would like to attend only the shamanic journey, a donation would be gratefully received. Simply arrive from 4:00 pm in time for tea, biscuits, and a gentle introduction before we begin.
